About this honey
In late June, while most of us are feasting on blueberries, strawberries, and watermelon, the honey bees are hard at work in the cranberry bogs of South Jersey, where they were brought to pollinate this fall favorite! New Jersey is one of the top cranberry producers in the US, and without honey bees the yield would be significantly smaller. Our pure, natural, raw Cranberry Honey is the honey produced from this pollination. It has a rich texture, amber color with a red tint, and a slightly tart aftertaste of cranberry. Include it in a honey-tasting (think wine-tasting but sweeter and friendly for all ages!) with our other varietals: Blueberry Honey, Pine Barrens Honey, and Wildflower Honey. You will notice the nuances in taste and texture. Cranberry Honey has been described as having berry notes with a mildly tart finish . Try pairing our Cranberry Honey with cheese, apples, or dark chocolate. You may see crystallization over time, but honey never goes bad.
