About this honey
Origin : Mainland, Hawaii Source: The Ohia Lehua Flower Blossoms. Raw Lehua Honey crystallizes quickly, even in the hive, and has a spreadable or whipped honey texture. This thicker texture is it’s natural state. Blooming season is from early March – June. Taste : Think créme brülée. This mild honey has a hint of sweet coupled with strong accents of butterscotch and caramel and a warm buttery finish. The scent is a dense woody and earthy, yet very pleasant. Pairings : Great on pastries and breads, in coffee, most cheeses and with fresh fruit.
